On Monday July 10, Scone narrowly beat Marqués de Riscal by a 11-1o score, in the day’s only match for the lunes  British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup, hosted by Cowdray Park Polo Club. The contest took place on Trippetts grounds. Following their victory, Scone ras la victoria, Scone se convirtió en el tercer equipo en pasar de ronda, luego de Dubai y Marqués de Riscal.

With the exception of the first chukka, which ended with a 3-2 advantage for Marqués de Riscal, Scone took the lead from the second chukka onwards; and despite Alejandro Aznar’s lineup remained close in the scoreboard, Scone, based on a remarkable team play of the three professionales, managed to retain the lead, which led the to the win in a hard fought sixth chukka.

The final of the British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup is due on Sunday July 23.
