White Crane and La Dolfina Great Oaks were victorious in the two games for the British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup, hosted by Cowdray Park Polo Club, and that were played on Saturday June 29. White Crane made a big blow by defeating Talandracas while La Dolfina Great Oaks beat UAE. The tournament sees eighteen teams up to 22 goals, partake.

Talandracas, the recent winners of the Queen’s Cup, who had remained unbeaten until now, lost to White Crane, who had a very strong start with an impressive 5-0 lead in the first chukka. However, Talandracas managed to get back in the game until they were able to tie at 9-all in the last chukka. This led to an OT, and that’s when White Crane produced the goal that earned them a very important victory.

Up-next, La Dolfina Great Oaks took off in the third chukka against current title holders, UAE. Although La Dolfina Great Oaks displayed a solid team play, the combination between Poroto Cambiaso and Diego Cavanagh proved to be crucial in order to claim the 11-6 win.
