La Dolfina Great Oaks, UAE and Valhalla claimed wins in the last day of qualification matches for the British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup, that took place on Wednesday July 10. Valhalla, who beat White Crane 11-10 in extra chukka, secured a spot in quarter finals. It’s worth to notice that the teams who are already in the competition’s next stage are Dubai, La Dolfina Great Oaks, Talandracas and La Dolfina Murus Sanctus

 

In the meantime, a penalty shootout will be held on Thursday July 11, at 11am, to determine the remaining teams for quarter finals. Black Bears, Gaston, La Magdeleine, Sujan Indian Tigers, King Power y Marqués de Riscal will take part of the penalty shootout. The two winners of this penalty shootout will advance to quarter finals. UAE and Desert Palm will compete in another penalty shootout with the fourth team within League C/D and the winner will be the eighth team to step into quarters.

The final of the British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup is due on Sunday July 21.
