La Dolfina Great Oaks and Dubai are through the final of the British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup, following their wins against King Power and Talandracas, respectively, in the semifinals that took place at Cowdray Park Polo Club, on Wednesday July 17.

 

In the opening semi, La Dolfina Great Oaks, runner up of the last Queen’s Cup, dominated the match and the scoreboard thoroghout five chukkas against King Power. By the start of the last chukka, Dillon Bacon and Co. had a comfortable four goal advantage (11-7), but the Thai foursome managed to bounce back and tied at 11-all, sending the contest to an extra chukka. That’s when La Dolfina Great Oaks had the deal said and done, and secured their ticket to the decisive game.

 

The follow-up saw Dubai overwhelming Talandracas, the current champions of the Queen’s Cup. Led by the indomitable Jeta Castagnola, who produced eleven goals, Dubai earned an impressive 18-9 victory and the second spot in the championship match.

 

La Dolfina Great Oaks and Dubai will go head-to-head in the final of the British Open Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup on Sunday July 21, at 3pm, and the match WILL BE STREAMED LIVE BY COWDRAY TV WITH THE PRODUCTION OF POLOLINE TV.
