Thai Polo and Park Place claimed respective wins against Emlor and King Power in another day of Gold Cup action at Cowdray Park Polo Club. The tournament is considered to be one of the three Grand Slams of Polo, alongside the Argentine Open and the US Open. This year’s edition sees thirteen teams, up to 22 goals, compete.

First up, Thai Polo defeated Emlor 9-7. It was a close game, but the Thai foursome managed to take the advantage nonetheless. Next, Park Place secured a 12-9 victory over King Power. The score was tied in the first two chukkas, but Park Place were able to widen their lead from the third chukka onwards and ultimately take the important victory.

The British Open Gold Cup resumes on Friday, July 9:
