The British Open Gold Cup continued on Thursday, July 1, with two games. The tournament – considered one of the Grand Slams of Polo along with the Argentine Open and the US Open – is hosted by Cowdray Park Polo Club. Thirteen teams, up to 22 goals, are in competition.

First , Park Place beat Murus Sanctus 10 goals to 8, before Thai Polo gave a superb performance, overwhelming Scone (with Max Voelker subbing in for David Paradice) to take a commanding 11-5 victory.

The Gold Cup continues on Friday, July 2, as UAE Polo Pod and King Power go head to head, at Manor Farm, at noon. The winner will win the Ashton Silver Cup.

 

The final of the Gold Cup is set for Sunday, July 25.
