The British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup, the highlight of the season in England, continued on Monday July 1, with a triple matchdate and wins for Gaston, Black Bears and Valhalla.
Although Haider Bangash’s team claimed the first chukka, Gaston seized the reins from the second chukka onwards and hold on to the lead for the remaining of the game. It’s worth to notice another remarkable performance delivered by Cruz Heguy, who produced six goals.
Up next, Black Bears, who lost to King Power in their debut game, bounced back and beat Sujan Indian Tigers by an 11-9 score, in a very tight match.
In the day’s closing game, Valhalla, already one of the nicest surprises of this year’s English high goal season, earned a narrow 9-8 win over Ferne Park, following a thrilling game.
