Black Bears claimed a narrow 7-6 win over Emlor Black to win the prestigious Indian Empire Shield, on Saturday July 16, on The Castle Ground, at Guards Polo Club. The trophy is notable as it dates back to the early 1920s.
The tournament, which kicked off on June 30, saw twelve teams, up to 16 goals, compete. Teams were split into three leagues.
Jimbo Fewster was named MVP, while Pire Blanca Nieves, ridden by José Araya, took BPP honors.
The Subsidiary title went to Four Quarters Black after they defeated Altamira K.
