Bin Drai-Lamar Polo ran out the champions of the Polo Masters Cup

Following a very hard fought match, Bin Drai-Lamar Polo claimed a narrow 6.5.5 over Al Habtoor-AM Polo (who received 0.5 goal on handicap), and won the Polo Masters Cup, the penultimate tournament of the Gold Cup Series, in the championship match that was played on Saturday April 8 at Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The contest was decided after a thrilling last chukka, with Tomás Iriarte and Ryyan Al Ajaji producing the crucial goals to secure the title for Bin Drai-Lamar Polo. It is worth noting that Bin Drai-Lamar Polo were able to take their rematch, having previously lost to Habtoor-AM Polo in the league stage.

 

Prior to the main final, Wolves-Mahra Polo earned a 9-5.5 win over Mount Loftus-Hesketh Polo (received 1.5 goal on handicap), and took the Subsidiary Cup. Wolves-Mahra Polo’s Tariq Al Habtoor and Habtoor Al Habtoor had the deal said and done.

 

The Polo Masters Cup saw four teams up to 8 goals, partake.

 

The Gold Cup Series will come to an end with the Dubai Cup, due on April 22-29, for teams between 6 and 8 goals.
