The Bentley Emirates Silver Cup continued on Thursday, January 27, as Bangash Dodson & Dorrell and AM Polo claimed victories. The tournament, one of the most important played in Asia and the Middle East, is underway at Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and sees seven teams, up to 18 goals, compete.
In the opening match, AM Polo and Zedan ended the first chukka tied 2-all. Zedan took the lead in the second, but in the third, Alejandro Muzzio and Benjamin Urquiza gave AM Polo a two goal advantage. The next two chukkas belonged to AM Polo, with Sheikha Alia giving a superb performance, scoring enough goals to secure the lead and seal the 10-6 win, the team’s second in the competition.
Next, Bangash Dodson & Horrell claimed their first victory after defeating Clinova Scone. Bangash gave a fantastic performance, dominating their opponents and widening their advantage chukka after chukka. By the penultimate chukka, Bangash had a 7.5-2 lead. In the last chukka Clinova Scone were able to score twice, but it was not enough make a comeback for the win.
