Barriere and Los Dragones Rouge will play the championship match of the historical Coupe d’Or, the most remarkable tournament of the season at the Deauville International Polo Club, set in Normandy, Northwest France, that forms part of the Barriere Deauville Polo Cup. Both lineups secured a spot in the final, following the last qualifying round, that took place on Friday August 25. It is worth to note that the Barriere Deauville Polo Club is composed by three competitions:  Coupe d’Or, Ladies Polo Cup and Coupe de Bronze, and will come to an end on Sunday August 27.

While Los Dragones Rouge’s last win was on August 23, when they defeated Mungo 11-8.5, Barriere remained undebeaten, and claimed a 9-7 win over Talandracas on Friday. Therefore, the final will be a rematch, since Los Dragones lost their only game against BarrIere, by a 8-5 score, on August 21.

With regards to the last qualifying games, played on Friday August 25, the results have been as follows:

Los Dragones Bleu 9-7 Talandracas

Barriere 10-7  Eternal J

Barriere and Los Dragones Rouge will clash for the coveted Coupe d’Or on Sunday August 27 at 5,30pm.
