The semifinals of the USPA Gold Cup, second leg of the Gauntlet of Polo, were finally played on Friday at the International Polo Club Palm Beach. Aspen and Pilot both beat their opponents (Daily Racing Form and Equuleus, respectively) by 9 goals to 8, thus securing their place in the tournament final, set for Monday, 3pm, on IPC’s number one ground. Pilot remain undefeated in the Gauntlet of Polo so far, having claimed the CV Whitney Cup a couple of weeks ago. If they win all three tournaments (CV Whitney, USPA Gold Cup and the US Open Polo Championship), they will be awarded a grand prize of 1 million dollars.
