The Terralpa Silver Cup, second leg of the 53rd. International Polo Tournament, is coming to an end. Ayala Polo Club, in Sotogrande, Spain, hosted the championship match for the medium goal Silver Cup, on Friday August 16, between the powerful Amanara and John Smith. The most significant part of this contest is that these two lineups not only were the best of the previous phase but also they already clashed in the qualification stage, with Gabriel Aguirre’s lineup victorious. It’s worth to notice that the latter have two winners of the last Queen´s Cup, Alejandro Muzzio and Rocho Torreguitar.
Following a 1-all in the first chukka the Chavanne brothers, Lorenzo and Pedro, under the command of their father, Santiago, seized the reins from the second chukka onwards. By the end of the fourth chukka, they had taken an impressive 7-3 lead; the damage has been done, and Amanara swiftly moved on to a 13-6 win to earn the second competition of the International Polo Tournament.
