The Open de España commenced on Thursday June 20, on a busy opening day. that featured no less than four matches at Ayala Polo Club, in Sotogrande, Span. The competition sees eight teams up to 8 goals, in participation.
Los Schatzies, who are undefeated and claimed the two previous tournaments – Copa Bienvenida and Copa Joseph McMicking . continue on the winning path. They made their debut by earning a 9-5 win over Grupo Mendizabal. In the follow-up, Dany’s Polo had to fight hard to beat Legacy Polo Team by a narro 8.5-8.
Dusseldorf and Rhone Hill clashed in Los Pinos II ground, with the former seizing the reins from the second chukka onwards and emerged victorious 9-7. Last but not least, Hanumann and Real Club Pineda closed the day on Los Pinos ground III. In another close contest, Hanuman beat Real Club Pineda 10-8.5.
The Open de España will resume on Friday June 21, with the following order of play:
