It’ss the final countdown for the 84th. Tortugas Open, the second leg of the prestigious Argentine Triple Crown. The championship match, due on Saturday November 2, will be revealed next weekend. Today it as announced that the original order of play of the games to be played through Saturday October 26 and Sunday October 27 have been changed.
The last league stage is quite a bit complicated. Although League A is almost decided, the major trouble lies within League B, with the four teams as potential finalists. So, how will the Tortugas Open final be determined?
- League A:
La Natividad will move to the final if they beat Cría La Dolfina, and Indios Chapaleufu defeat Ellerstina.
Cría La Dolfina will eventually advance to the final if they claim a win over La Natividad, and Ellerstina beat Indios Chapaleufu.
Ellerstina need a win over Indios Chapalefu to get into the final, and a win from La Natividad over Cría La Dolfina.
Indios Chapaleufu would be able to play the final if they beat Ellerstina, and Cría La Dolfina defeat La Natividad.
- League B:
If La Ensenada lose, the match between La Hache and La Dolfina is a semifinal; the winner qualify to the championship match.
An eventual win by La Ensenada, gives La Hache the big opportunity to play the final, even if they lose by one goal; instead, this would oblige La Dolfina to win for at least two goals or more to advance to the decisive match.
The new schedule for the upcoming matches of the 84th. Tortugas Open, due on the weekend, is the following:
- Saturday October 26

4pm: Ellerstina vs. Indios Chapaleufu
