Sixteen teams up to 16 goals are due to play the 24th. edition of the Open de France, the premier tournament of the Polo Club du Domaine du Chantilly, that is due to start on Wednesday September 4, at the lavish and sophisticated club, located only thirty minutes from Paris. An edition that promises to deliver a fantastic event, one of the most significant and remarkable of the polo season in Europe. Teams are split in four leagues, and among them are the current title holders, Sébastien Aguettant’s Kazak, with Nicolás Pieres as their leading player.

 

As usual, the Open de France will have the tournament for ladies, the Open de France Féminin, which will kick off on Thursday September 17, and will see teams up to 16 goals (ladies handicap).

 

Among those who will compete in the upcoming Open the France, and along with the current reigning champions, Kazak, will be Talandracas, the recent winners of the Coupe d’Or, in Deauville: Jean-Francois Décaux’s Brittany Polo Club; Alexandre Garese’s La Magdeleine; Sainte Mesme, the Strom’s family powerful organisation; Téledou, runner up of the Coupe d’Or; Amanara, who had a successful season in Sotogrande.

 

The opening day of the 24th. Open de France will have a single match, on Wednesday September 4, Battistonie vs. Octogone Polo Team, at 3pm.

The final of the 24th. Open de France will take place on Sunday September 22.
