Following a new matchdate of the 24th. Open de France Barnes, that took place on Monday August 9, at the Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly, La Fija Sandbox, Eternal J and Sainte Mesme secured their spot in the tournament’s upcoming quarter finals.

Octogone and Jolly Roger opened fire; both lost their previous contests, so they were in need for a victory to maintain the hopes to advance to the next stage. Jolly Roger got off to a better start and remained in the lead until the fourth chukka, when Octogone managed to tie. However, luck was on Niclas Johansson’s lineup, who claimed the 6-5 win.

The follow-up saw La Fija Sandbox and Battistoni; the winner would advance to quarter finals. Both teams played a very even match until the third chukka. But La Fija bounced back; they displayed their best polo to claim the lead and at the end of the day, they won 1o-8. Therefore, La Fija Sandbox joined Sainte Mesme and Eternal J in the next phase of the competition.
