Sunday November 17 marked the end of the third week of the 131st. Argentine Polo Open Championship at Palermo. The most important tournament worldwide is approaching the decisive stages towards the league deciders. So, Sunday saw the clash between Ellerstina and La Ensenada.

La Ensenada, who lost an incredibe debut match against Cría La Dolfina, needed a win to keep their hopes alive. They got off to a better start, earning considerable advantages in the first chukkas of plays. La Ensenada remained in the lead until the fifth chukka, while Ellerstina slowly bounced back, until the sixth chukka, when they managed to make a comeback, by earning a two-goal advantage. Under the command of Sapo Caset, who produced no less than eleven goals, and an extraordinary performance delivered by Gonzalito Pieres, Ellerstina hold their contenders back, and at the end of the day, they won 18-13, a victory that got Ellerstina one step closer to a league decider against La Dolfina.
