There are some intersting facts sorrounding this new edition of the Argentine Open, established as one of the most significant sports competitions in the world, on the same level as Wimbledon or the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix. For the ninth consecutive year, there won’t be a winner of the Triple Crown; the last foursome who claimed such achievement were La Dolfina, the Fab Four – Adolfo Cambiaso, Pelon Stirling, Juan Martin Nero and Pablo MacDonough. Also, it is worth to notice a couple of comebacks – Indios Chapaleufu, who will be participating for the first time since 2017, with a lineup that includes the fourth generation of the Heguy family – Cruz and Antonio Heguy (the sons of Eduardo and Pepe, respectively), along with Torito Ruiz and Teo Lacau; and La Aguada, the Novillo Astrada family’s club, who competed in the Open for the last time in 2019. However, the foursome won’t showcase any member of the family. La Aguada will be made of José Vercellino, Pedro Zacharias, Facundo Llosa and Pedro Fallabela.

In addition, the 131st. Argentine Polo Open Championship will see five clubs who already lifted the coveted trophy – La Dolfina (15), La Natividad (2), Ellerstina (6), Indios Chapaleufú (10) and La Aguada (1).  Last but not least, of all the current players, Adolfo Cambiaso has won the Open more than anyone else, 18 times, a record that still holds the unforgettable Juan Carlitos Harriott (20).
