Nestled in the heart of the Sierras Chicas in the Province of Córdoba, just one hour flight time from the city of Buenos Aires, lies Pueblo Estancia La Paz, and extraordinary urban development spanning 500 hectares. The Estancia includes a real estate development, with an 18-hole golf course, polo fields, and an equestrian area. There is also a hotel with fourteen bedrooms, situated in the original buildings of the Estancia, in the center of Thays Park, with a restaurant and events hall.
The glory days of the Estancia were lived when Julio A. Roca, twice President of the Republic of Argentina, resided there. Towards the end of the XIX century, Roca modernised the Estancia, incorporating a neo-classical Italian style, and adding buildings like the stables, the laundry, an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. The former President also commissioned French landscape artist Charles Thays to design the majestic 100 hectare park, complete with an artificial lake.
The housing development was built to offer typical country living, but with the luxury of being close to city life. Pueblo Estancia La Paz has 240 plots, ranging from 6.000 to 12.000 m2. Depending on the surrounding landscape, the plots can be grouped into the following zones: Parque Thays, Polo, Sierras, Río and Bosque.
La Paz also boasts a hotel, an experience for the senses, where the tranquility of the surroundings transport guests far from the stresses of daily life.
The original estancia now forms part of the Roca Suite and the stylish Restaurante 1830, which contrasts to the Rustic Corner located on the river shore. The latter was set up for guests to enjoy diverse cuts of Argentine meat, cooked over an open fire.
