The British Open Gold Cup, one of the most prestigious polo tournaments in the world, resumed on Saturday at Cowdray Park Polo Club with two quarterfinals.
The tournament sees ten 22 goal teams compete.
First up, Queen’s Cup winners Scone beat Talandracas—just as they did in the quarters of the Queen’s Cup at Guards Polo Club. Their victory was secured in extra chukka; Nico Pieres scored the golden goal.
Up next, in what was a very tight match, VS King Power defeated Murus Sanctus, who were previously unbeaten in the tournament. The win give King Power a place in the Gold Cup semis.
