The ball started rolling in a unique destination in Switzerland, in what has been one of the most awaited moments of the year: The opening of the Polo Park & Country Club Zurich following renovations done by the owners, Sébastien Le Page and Morgan Van Oberbroek, who bought the club in June 2013.

Saturday, May 6, saw activities suitable for all. The day started with a polo match at 3pm; around 400 people visited the club and enjoyed an exclusive cocktail party while admiring the new clubhouse and listening to live music from renowned brass band Traktorkestar. Many VIPs, such as the Mayor of Seuzach, sponsors, and members of other polo clubs - Cedric Schweri, Matteo Beffa and Stefan Roth of Legacy for instance, were mixing with members of the local community. Many children were present to enjoy the family atmosphere.

In the evening, Sébastien and Morgan hosted a dinner for 60 members of Polo Park and their friends, amongst them Sébastien's parents, DJ Antoine one of Switzerland's most recognized DJs, and members of the polo club, such as Markus and Irene Graff, Tutti and Nathalie Wolfensberger. The fashion stylist Anastasia Kiefer, Ossi Kochli for example. Other polo friends and professionals were also present, celebrating late into the night.

The new clubhouse offers maximum comfort for players and guests, a place where you can enjoy a good cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Among the new facilities are locker rooms, showers, and an exclusive members' bar.

The San Francisco de Asis Cup is due this weekend; eight teams broken into two leagues (medium and low goal) will take part in the tournament. Seven matches will be played over the weekend, and Sunday's picnic will close the event.
Following this event, a further 10 tournaments are planned, including the 18th International Ladies’ Cup, two 10-goal tournaments and one 8-goal tournament. A lot of exciting polo and partying is expected!

Best of luck to Sébastien and Morgan on this new journey!
